What Data We Collect and Why
2
We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide a reliable and functional app.
Account Information: When you create an account using Google, Apple, or Email, we collect your email address and name. We use this strictly to manage your account, secure your login, and provide account recovery.
App Usage & Preferences: We store your custom watchlists, search queries, and the horse/rider profiles you interact with. This data is essential to provide the core functionality of Parcours, allowing you to track your prospective horses across devices.
Analytics: We track product interactions (such as which discovery lists are viewed) to understand what features our users value most and to improve the app's curation.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: We collect crash logs, performance data (like app launch times), and device identifiers. This helps our development team identify bugs and fix crashes quickly.
We use established third-party service providers to securely run the app. These providers have their own privacy policies regarding how they handle data:
Google Firebase: Used for user authentication, database hosting, analytics, and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
Apple: Used for the "Sign in with Apple" authentication service.
